Missed Toy Ideas

With it being shopping season and all, I have received quite a few hits here lately for people searching for various toys. The thing is, most of the toys people are searching for don’t exist - but they should. For example, I receive about a dozen hits a day for people looking for a Rescue Pack from Go Diego Go. And yet, I don’t think anybody is making one. Nick and a toy manufacturer miss out on a golden opportunity. In fact, I can’t even find a toy Baby Jaguar.

And then there is Little Einsteins. Currently the only product I seem to be able to find is the DVD Little Einsteins Big Huge Adventure (aff link). I know from my referrer logs that there is definitely a demand for Rocket, as well as the kids themselves.

With all of the toys that get made, I can’t belive these didn’t make the cut.

I’m really annoyed about this one as well. Disney has been running the LITTLE EINSTEINS show for about two months now. My 23 month old boy LOVES the show (he constantly sings the theme song) and would be very happy to own a ROCKET toy and perhaps a figure of his favorite character QUINCY. I’m just worried that by next Christmas he won’t be as enamored with this charming show -and THEN they’ll have a nice assortment of LITTLE EINSTEIN products…

Products for new shows are never slated for release until a year or so after premiere. You should find Little Einsteins products in 2006. We are so excited that kids are enjoying the show! Keep watching - there will be plenty of products soon.

My son loves Little Einsteins. He received the Rescue Heroes Micro Adventure Underwater playset & pretends that the red ship is rocket. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0007LHYQA/qid=1134556656/sr=1-5/ref=sr_1_5/102-6272490-1950503?v=glance&s=toys.

I certainly hope that the products are coming soon - my son is DYING to get a Rocket / kids playset. For now, he runs around the house with his best friend Rocket, using a Buzz Lightyear rocket from last year :)

My 2 1/2 year old son loves Little Einstiens Rocket. I am hoping it will be on shelves for his birthday in May. For now he pretends the remote control for his old crib mobile is Rocket and flies all around the house.

My son wants a rocket ship for his birthday in 3 weeks. So I doubt I will be able to get that one for his birthday. What a disappointment. I found another rocket ship at Walmart but it had big grasping claws out the front and I don’t want him to hurt his 1 year old sister with it. I wish I could get another kind of kids rocket ship anywhere. Come on DISNEY. You had to have thought of making these toys. You make toys for everything else. Please hurry.

My 3 year old son really loves Little Einstiens and we are from the UK. We have just returned from a holiday to Florida where we spent a lot of time at Disney Parks. We searched high and low for any Little Einstiens products and even asked the staff if there were any. They looked at us as if they did not know what we were talking about. I was adamant that it existed and was being shown on the Playhouse Disney Channel in the UK, but they had never heard of it. Please, please, please, if anyone knows if anything other than the DVD’s are to be released, post a reply on this page. Thanks.

Thank you! My son has taken to a shoe that he flies through the air while singing the theme to Little Einsteins. How sad that I cannot find him an actual Rocket toy!!!

I too have a two-and-a-half year old boy who absolutely loves Little Einsteins - and rocket of course for that matter. I think he might have a crush on Annie too, but that’s for another post. My wife and I just searched around all the regular local store chains up here in New England and all over the Internet as well with no luck. Just a silly rocket suit, great for Halloween, but not for us. It sounds like many of you have found cheaper alternatives to rocket anyway though (a shoe, remote, etc..). Maybe it’s not such a bad thing Disney missed the boat, our kids are strengthening their imaginations, and we’re all saving money…

We too have a “need” for a rocket toy for our son. I did find a Disney plush rocket toy here - http://disneyshopping.go.com/DSSectionPage.process?Section_Id=11765&Product_Id=197368
(I hope the entire link shows up)
We also have a toy submarine that he loves and calls “Rocket”.

We’re still searching for rocket toys as well. My husband and I made a rocket and big jet out of polymer clay. After holding up to several months of our 2-year old playing with them constantly, they bit the dust. We were hoping that Disney would come out with a rocket toy by that time, but no luck. The plush one just won’t cut it. I need a little plastic one that we can cart around EVERYWHERE. I’ve seen JoJo’s Circus toys in the store. Are any kids really into that show? Come on Disney, it’s been way too long.

Found this site while looking for the toy Einstein Rocket. Yep, Disney must be holding back for a big release (or something). I too, am dissapointed as my grandson would like one as well.

  14. Stephanie Says:

I agree that it is terrible that you can’t find toys for this show…..you can get a backpack or a stuffed doll, but no little toys. I was hoping to find a “Little Einsteins” play set, something similar to the Fisher Price Little People, for my daughters 3rd birthday because she ABSOLUTELY loves this show, and I can’t find anything even close. Disney could be making HUGE bucks right now….and my daughter and many other kids would be thrilled! I really think that someone at Disney needs to visit this site to see what toys the KIDS actually want. Who needs another stuffed doll anyway?

  15. Dan Says:

disneyshopping.com has quite a few Little Einsteins things.

  16. William Says:

My son absolutely loved Little Einsteins. He would sing the theme song and called everything Rocket. I would have loved to buy him a Rocket toy. I even considered building one myself. However, he has since seen another movie that has captured his imationation and now he calls eveything Lightning McQueen. And there are plenty of those toys around. This was just really poor marketing on Disney’s part.

  17. Shannon Says:

I’ve found Little Einstein Plush Talking Rocket and Characters on ebay. However, I don’t see that they are available at the Disney Store or any other retailers.

  18. Keoni Says:

Our 20 Month old son loves Little Einsteins so we set out to find toys from the show with no luck. By far he loves rocket and yet you can not find any. But to all those parents out there, you can find a small rocket that is a magnifying glass on a book (Mission Where Is June) which we bought at target. So if your child or you are hunting for one that is the only one we have found. Hope that there is a toy maker reding all these and get one going ASAP.
