PBS Kids Share the Earth Day

PBS Kids will have a special 2 hour programming block on Earth Day, April 21st. The block will include episodes that show kids how they can make a difference in the environment and help care for the Earth. The following shows will be featured:

It’s a Big Big World “Down in the Dumps/Who moved my sunflower” & a brand new episode “World Tree Day/World Tree Cuisine”
Clifford the Big Red Dog “Doggie Garden/Camping it Up”
Dragon Tales “Green Thumbs/Down the Drain”

pbskids.org will also feature games and activies focusing on conservation and good environmental habits. It will as feature Share the Earth Day songs from Milkshake.

Playhouse Disney Spring Party

March 20th will be a special Spring Themed block of programming featuring new epsidoes of several Playhouse Disney shows..

The block starts off with a new Higglytown Heroes where teh Mountain Rescue Squad helps them down a steep trail. The episode airs at 7:30am.

The Higglytown Heroes will be followed by a new episode of Little Einsteins. Set against the musical and artistic backdrops of Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” and Utagawa Hiroshige’s “Mountains and River of Kiso,” the Little Einsteins help a baby tulip find its way back to spring so it can bloom after the pesky Big Jet uses a season-changing gadget that whisks them into other seasons.

Backyardigans News

Tuesday, February 21st, 2006

A new episode of the Backyardigans will air on March 10th. The episode titled Race Around the World features the Backyardigan crew, well, racing around the world. The episode will air at 10:30am on Nick Jr. The episode will also be available, along with several others, on a DVD titled Backyardigans:Cave Party. The DVD will be available on March 7th.

Also of note is that starting March 10th, the Backyardigans will begin airing regularly on Noggin. It will become a part of their daily schedule, airing at 4:30pm. That happens to be a timeslot currently occupied by Jack’s Big Music Show.

Playhouse Disney LogoHigglytown Heroes: There is a new episode airing on Monday, January 30th. The heroes in the episode are a furnace repairman and an enviromentalist. Essentially the consumption of fossil fuels and the conservation of fossil fuels in one episode. It will air at 7:30am.



Nick Jr logoLazyTown: A new episode airs on Friday, February 3rd. “Robbie’s Great Misses” will air at 11:30am.



PBS KidsIt’s a big big world: Three new episodes are scheduled to air this week. The episodes will air on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Check your local listings for show times.

Playhouse Disney LogoHigglytown Heroes: A new episode will air on Monday, January 16th at 7:30am. The episodes heroes will be a tree trimmer and a banker

Charlie and Lola: A new episode will air on Monday, January 16th at 9:30am. Lola comes to realize the value of good company when she becomes so engrossed with her pretend “jobs” that her brother Charlie, her best pal Lotta and even Lola’s imaginary friend, Soren Lorenson, lose interest in playing with her.

Nick Jr logoDora the Explorer and Go Diego Go: Monday, January 16th will feature a Dora and Diego marathon. The marathon will air from 9:00am until 2:00pm. It will culminate with a brand new episode of Dora airing at 1:30pm. The new episode features Dora and Diego heading to the South Pole to rescue a penguin.

PBS Kids It’s a Big Big World: A new episode will air on Monday, January 16th. Kids will learn about the impact of weather on animals, and about the migratory and social habits of turtles. Check local listings for show times.

The new year brings new episodes, new seasons, and new shows…

Playhouse Disney LogoHigglytown Heroes: A new season kicks-off on January 2nd at 7:30am. In the season premiere, Debbie Allen voices the episodes hero, a dance instructor who helps Eubie.

JoJo’s Circus: It’s all about Goliath in a theme week called Go Goliath Go. The week will feature Goliath centric episodes, and a brand new episode on Friday at 8:30am.

Little Einsteins: A primetime special, “How we became Little Einsteins” airs at 7:30pm on Sunday, January 8th. The episode will go back in time and look at how the kids met rocket, and will detail their first mission. Immediately following the episode will be the premiere of “Muppets Wizard of Oz.”

PBS KidsIt’s a Big Big World: The new series premieres on January 2nd with new episodes being aired on the Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Check local listings for show times.

It’s a whole bunch of marathons this week on Nick Jr. Each day there is a different 3 hour marathon from 9:00am until noon. Monday is Go Diego Go, Tuesday is Dora the Explorer, Wednesday is The Backyardigans, Thursday is LazyTown, and Friday is Blue’s Clues/Blue’s Room. Tuesday at 9:00am will include the hour long special, Dora’s Dance to the Rescue.

Franklin A new season of Franklin will premiere on New Year’s day. The first new episode will air at 10:00am and will be followed by 11 additional episodes.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas: The feature will air during the normal Playhouse Disney block on Monday the 19th at 11:00am, and again at 8:00pm.

The Wiggles: A special Christmas Wiggles will air at 11:00am on Tuesday, December 20th. The show will feature 12 songs and appearances by John Foggerty and Barry Williams.

Frosty Friday’s continues on December 23rd. Special episodes of Franklin, Blue’s Room, and LazyTown air from 12:00pm-2:00pm.

The Warm and Fuzzy Holiday party includes special episodes of Franklin, Miffy, Maisy, Connie the Cow, Maggie and the Ferocious Beast, Blue’s Clues, and Little Bear. The special programming block will air on December 24th and December 25th. Check Noggin for more information.

Charlie and Lola: New Episode. Snow is on the way and Lola is bursting with excitement. After a day where Charlie, Lola, Marv, Sizzles and Lotta make snow angels and have snow races, the snow melts. Charlie helps a very disappointed Lola understand that snow is even more special because it isn’t there forever. Airs December 12th, 9:30am.

Little Einsteins: Premier of A Christmas Wish Airs December 12th 8:00am.
